About MeI've just started my 20th year of teaching Special Education at Vestaburg Community Schools. I graduated from Central Michigan University where I earned both my Bachelor's Degree and Master's Degree in Education. I met my husband, Brian, while attending CMU. I'm originally from Deckerville, located in the "thumb" of Michigan. We moved to Vestaburg in 2005 and made Vestaburg our home. Brian & I have two daughters that also attend school at Vestaburg. Brianna is a senior in high school and Kelsie is a freshman in high school. Our family pets are a black lab named Zeebo and two cats named Jinx and Meeko. During the summer, we enjoy spending as much time as possible at Leisure Lake Family Campground. I love teaching at Vestaburg because of it's small size. It's also special because it's a K-12 school, just like the school I went to during my elementary through high school years.

About My Job
This year I'm providing support to 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students so that they can be more successful in the general education curriculum. I work with students within their general education math and/or English classes as well as in the resource room when more support is needed. I'm also the middle school student council adviser and one of the high school class advisers.
